The Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association (SAEMA), the national trade body for the permanent and temporary façade access equipment industry, is pleased to announce significant changes to its Board of Directors, reinforcing its commitment to safety, best practices, and industry advancement.
Kyle Davidson, Head of Suspended Access at Denholm Industrial Services (ALPS), has been elected Chair of SAEMA. With extensive experience leading the company’s Suspended Access Division, Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong dedication to safety standards.
In his new role, Kyle will spearhead SAEMA’s efforts to enhance safety and best practices in providing access to buildings and challenging structures. Key initiatives include the development of NVQs, the new Duty Holder training program (complementing the existing User Training scheme with the imminent launch of Part 1 Temporary), and the ongoing enhancement of industry standards. SAEMA continues to collaborate with prominent bodies such as BSI, LEEA, AIF, SAFED, and TWf.
“I am honoured to take on this important role within SAEMA,” said Kyle Davidson. “Denholm Industrial Services (ALPS) has a long-standing commitment to safety and best practices, and this appointment reinforces our dedication to maintaining the highest standards. I look forward to using my experience to drive positive developments in the suspended access sector.”

Additionally, Martyn Reed, who has held the role of Immediate Past Chair since 2021, will retire from the board. With over 40 years of involvement in the industry, Martyn has provided invaluable guidance and support to SAEMA members.
